Those with senior or access passes as part of the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series can receive this reduced price any time.

“If buying your pass from a Forest Service office, don’t forget to pick up your Christmas Tree Permit, along with a 2023 Motorized Vehicle Use Trail Permit, which are now available,” said Bradley Block, Recreation Program Manager, Black Hills National Forest. “Our non-profit partner, Black Hills Parks & Forests Association (BHPF) is also offering 15% off on items for sale at our offices. These items are great stocking stuffer ideas. Proceeds go to support interpretive and educational programming on the Forest.” The 15% off sale includes Smokey Bear souvenirs, lapel pins, hiking medallions, coffee mugs, patches, children’s books, trail guides, and an array of other Forest-themed products; USGS maps are not included in the sale.

Under a special use permit, FRM operates Black Hills National Forest campgrounds and other recreation facilities. FRM has been operating these facilities since 1999.
