     Scottsbluff police say an older man was hit and killed last night by an SUV while crossing East Overland.
76-year old Ramon Martinez was taken to Regional West Medical Center, but died of his injuries.
Investigators say Martinez was crossing the street south to north shortly before 7 pm when he was struck by a westbound SUV driven by 42-year old Jaime Gamino, also of Scottsbluff.
Gamino was cited at the scene for expired license plates, but the investigation into the accident is continuing. The final report will be forwarded to the Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s Office for a decision on other charges.
