The Chadron Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 seniors finished off their road trip to the central time zone beating the Elkhorn South Storm seniors by a 7-3 score.
In a night shortened from a doubleheader to one six inning game with impending storms. Chadron was able to strike the first seven times, with seven different players driving in runs for Chadron. The Storm were able to drive home three runs in the bottom of the sixth and final inning but it was not enough to make Chadron nervous as Chadron went undefeated on their short road trip.
Kobe Bissonette got the start and earned the win for Chadron, pitching three and two-thirds innings with three strikeouts and no earned runs. Derek Bissonette got the save in two and a third innings pitched.
Chadron moves to 4-6 on the season with a return home to Maurice Horse Field on Tuesday to face Sidney. The junior teams will face each other at 5 with seniors first pitch at 7.
