The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a Wisconsin couple were the people involved in a fatal UTV accident Monday afternoon on a county road in the Black Hills about 6-miles northeast of Piedmont.
47-year-old Aaron Sibilisky of Pulaski was the driver and was killed while 46-year old passenger Nichole Behrent of Appleton suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Highway Patrol says the couple was traveling north about 3:45 pm when Sibilisky failed to make a turn and the UTV left the roadway.
It hit a fence in the ditch that was part of a cattle guard across the road, tipped, and overturned – ejecting both Sibilsky and Behrent.
Sibilsky was pronounced dead at the scene while Behrent was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Neither was wearing a seat belt or a helmet.
