The Hot Springs Mammoth Site kicks off the 50th anniversary celebration of its discovery tonight with the start of Mammoth Days.

Tomorrow a full day of activities from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, including dedication ceremonies at 3:00 for the new Lang Family Dig Building
There will be bounce houses and food trucks from 10:00 to closing with a beer garden and Street Dance with music by Wild Blue wrapping things up from 6-8:00.
There is also an Atlatl throwing competition tomorrow with a $5 entry fee, 3 age brackets, and prizes from sponsor Liv Hospitality – who is giving Stay and Play packages to each age group winner.
The 10-13 age group competes at 9:00, followed by the 14-17 bracket at 11:00. The oldest group, 18-and-up, begins throwing at 1:00.
