Funeral services for 43-year old DaVene Brown are Monday, June 24, 2024 at 2:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD, with Father Brad Held, S-J, officiating.
Burial is at St Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge
Visitation will precede the funeral from 9-2:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge.

DaVene Rose Brown (Fleury) was born to Fernanda Marie High Bull and Richard Gary Fleury on March 28, 1981. She made her journey home to the Spirit World on June 6, 2024.
DaVene attended elementary schools in Alliance, NE (Central Elementary School); Lame Deer, MT (Lame Deer Elementary School); and Omaha, NE (Field Club Elementary School). She later went to Marrs Junior High School in Omaha, then to Lame Deer High School, where she had the honor of being the Valedictorian for her graduating class.
DaVene was a strong and stubborn person, but caring. She was always willing to help her siblings when she was able to do so. She loved to laugh and joke with all her friends and family – and she considered everyone who was close to her to be “family”.
She gave birth to first daughter, Dimetria Adria Fleury, in 2002 and was blessed with her second daughter, Angeliya Marie Fleury, in 2004.
In 2008, DaVene meet the love of her life – Chad (Cooky) Brown, and they had four beautiful children from this blissful union: Gabriela Michaela, Chadley Uriel, Sebastian Daniel, and Trinnity Rose. Her six little blessings were her world, her love, and her heart. She cherished spending time with her daughters, sons, husband, and brothers, all whom she loved so much.
DaVene worked in the retail world for years prior to making the ultimate decision to be a stay-at-mom for her children.
DaVene Rose leaves behind her other half, Chad (Cooky); her children: Dimetria, Angeliya, Gabriela, Chadley, Sebastian, and Trinnity; her brothers: Gary, Craig, Conrad, and Stefano; her sisters: Buffy and Talisa; her aunt Lois Faye; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins: too many to mention.
What a beautiful day it will be for DaVene to join her mother Fernanda, her father Richard, her younger brothers Preston and Lindsey, her sister Martina, her special aunt Delores, and her uncles Myron, Sylvester, and Cleveland. She shed many a tear for her loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Chad Brown, Gary Fleury, Craig Fleury, Stefano Fleury, Chadley Brown, Hayden Fleury, Marvin High Bull, and Robert Vargas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sebastian Brown, Conrad Fleury, Shane Eagle Feather, Lonnie Hill, and All Friends & Relatives.
