Today, Nebraska Cattlemen announced they are seeking to hire part-time member services field staff to assist with membership recruitment and retention efforts. The full job description is provided below.
Reports To: Director of Membership
Employment Status: Part-Time/Non-Exempt
Basic Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Member Services Field Staff include overseeing member services for Nebraska Cattlemen (NC) local region affiliates and coordinating recruitment and retention efforts on an individual and local basis with other NC Member Services staff. The Member Services Field Staff will be the conduit of information from the local member to state staff and leadership.Â
Specific Responsibilities will include:
- Under the direction of the Director of Membership and in coordination with NC Board members and staff, conduct member services activities, including NC membership recruitment and retention, member services for local affiliates and coordinating educational programs for NC members in their specific local areas.Â
- Present membership activities at local affiliate or regional meetings as requested by the Director of Membership.Â
- Contribute to affiliate updates for local affiliates regarding upcoming events, deadlines, membership contests and other issues concerning membership.Â
- Provide a monthly report of activities to the Director of Membership to be shared with the Chair of Member Services and the Executive Vice President. Relate areas of member concern, interest, and feedback to the Director of Membership.Â
- Provide staff support to various NC Councils and Committees as assigned by the Executive Vice President.Â
- Represent Nebraska Cattlemen in a professional manner within the office and at various local and state meetings, conventions and other events, including formal presentations at such events as assigned by the Director of Membership.Â
- Under the direction of the Director of Membership, attend various industry meetings, seminars and conferences to keep abreast of new industry information, research and technology applicable to program development.Â
- Take photographs at various events and provide the photos in a timely manner to the Communications department and contribute to social media, e-newsletters and the Nebraska Cattleman magazine.Â
- Contribute to the membership database by editing member data, keeping affiliate leadership information updated, and assisting with association membership directories.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The member services field staff position is remote with 10 to 15 hours of work per week expected. Salary will be commensurate with experience and travel expenses related to the position will be covered.
