As of early Wednesday morning, according to Great Plains Fire Information, fire crews are continuing their efforts against the Detroit Fire that was reported around 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon approximately 8 miles east of Chadron.
Great Plains says the fire is sized at 4 acres and fire suppression efforts have been provided by local and federal resources. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
