Lisa Marie Brewer was born on January 23, 1952 to William “Shorty” Brewer and Jennifer Janis. Lisa made her journey to the Spirit World on August 6, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Lisa is survived by children, Hailee Behan, Marshall Behan, Kaitlyn Behan, Emily Steele, and Duncan Brewer; grandson, Achilles Behan; father, William “Shorty” (Joyce) Brewer; mother, Jennifer Janis; grandmother, Arlene Brewer; siblings, Patrick Wayne Brewer, Sr., Steven Paul Brewer, Sr., Rena Brewer, Theresa Catches, and Abby Reed; step-brothers, Patrick Swallow and Stephen Swallow; step-sisters, Michelle Swallow and Marlanna Holiday; uncles, Len Brewer, Richard Brewer, Stanley Brewer, Shawn Swallow, Louis Janis, and Gilbert Janis; step uncles, Pat Swallow and Steve Swallow; aunts, Anita Janis, Nellie Pourier, Delmarie Pourier, Phoebe Janis, Beverly Lafferty, Patti Shangreaux, Doris Thibeault, and Karen Nelson, and Karen N; step aunts, Michelle Swallow and Marlanna Holiday; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, William P. Brewer, Leroy Janis, Cleo Pourier, and Madeline Lafferty; uncles, Barney Janis, Michael Brewer, and Mike Janis; and aunts, Lori Ann Brewer and Fawn Trueblood. Pallbearers will be Rodney Spotted Elk, Matt Wakins, Beau Little Whiteman, Jodi Frazier, Lonnie Hill, Brennan Brewer, Patrick Brewer, Jr., and Alex Brewer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lucian Little Whiteman, Joey Elk, Kobe Steele, Jessie Brewer, Dallas Greenwald, Steven Brewer, Jr., and All Friends and Relatives.
Funeral services for Lisa Marie Brewer will be held at 11 on Thursday August 15 at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gym with Father Brad Held officiating.
A one night wake service starts at 4 on Wednesday August 14 at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gym with evening services starting at 7.
Burial is at the Holy Rosary Mission Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
