The Chadrom Cardinals welcomed the Scottsbluff Bearcats to town on a warm Tuesday Night. In a wild game that saw a combined 26 runs between the two teams and a big comeback, the Bearcats were able to run away with the win 18-8.
Scottsbluff had the first notch on the scoreboard with a two run home run off the Chadron starter and carried a 3-0 lead after their first trip to the plate. It took until the bottom of the second for Chadron to get their first run of the game but by that point Scottsbluff had hit another home run and was up 4-1 at the end of the second inning. The third inning of the game was where the game started becoming wild. Both teams traded four spots to make the game 8-5 Scottsbluff after four innings. Chadron meticulously got within one at 8-7 before Scottsbluff put up a massive seventh inning to get completely clear of Chadron, winning 18-8.
Scottsbluff stays undefeated at 7-0 on the season while Chadron drops to 2-4. Next up for the Cardinals is a home game on Thursday vs Bayard.
