Weather permitting, work will begin Sept. 16 on US-385, from reference post 71+00 to reference post 71+75, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Simon Contractors of Cheyenne, Wyo. is the contractor for this project. Work includes grading, culverts, subgrade stabilization and asphalt concrete paving. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers with the possible aid of automated flagger assisted devices (AFAD). A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Nov. 2024.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
