In celebration of National Arts in Education week, this week, South Dakota Governor Noem and the South Dakota Arts Council are announcing the opening of the Governor’s Student Art Competition.
South Dakota students in kindergarten through 12th grade can enter the competition. Select students work from each age group will be exhibited in the State Capitol in Pierre starting in January through September 2025.
The Submission deadline is November 4th.
The Divisions are grades k-2, 3-5, 6-8 and grades 9-12.
Guidelines and submission forms will be available beginning Tuesday through the South Dakota Arts Council.
