Chadron Golfers Win Western Conference

Golfers from around the panhandle took to Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering on Monday for the Western Conference Golf Tournament

The Chadron Cardinals shot a 377 to win the tournament, defeating Scottsbluff, Sidney, McCook, Gering, Alliance and Bridgeport. 

Individually Chadronโ€™s Taegan Bach won the tournament shooting an 11 over 83 to win the tournament by one shot over Scottsbluffโ€™s Addie Peck. Elliot Salzar from Scottsbluff was third, Reese Ribera from Ogallala was fourth and Emmerson Landreth from Chadron shot an 88 to finish fifth.

Chadron golfers include the winner Taegan Bach finishing 1st with an 83, Emmerson Landreth finishing 5th with an 88, Reese Ritterbush shot a 97 to finish 13th, Gillian Conway finished 25th shooting a 109, and Eliana Uhing shot a 110 to finish 26th.

Team scoring saw Chadron win with a 377, Scottsbluff finished second with a 380, Sidney shot a 386 to finish third, fourth place was McCook with a 396, Gering finished in fifth with a 412, Alliance was sixth with a 448, and Bridgeport shot a 490 to finish seventh.

Other schools participating include Gordon-Rushville, Ogallala, Bayard, Mitchell, and Kimball. 

Next up for the Chadron Cardinals girls golf is a tournament in Ogallala on September, 24th.
