The Chadron State Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its annual Fall Fund Drive, aimed at rallying volunteers to support the students of Chadron State College. From Oct. 1 to Oct. 25, the Fall Fund Drive volunteers will look to inspire individuals and local businesses to join in the mission of providing scholarship support to CSC students and enriching the educational experience at Chadron State.

โ€œWeโ€™re excited to engage the Northwest Nebraska community to support Chadron State and its students,โ€ said Brandon Davenport, Development Officer at the Chadron State Foundation. โ€œRegarding peopleโ€™s philanthropic goals, I think everyone in our community can find a meaningful connection to CSC whether thatโ€™s a desire to place CSC graduates from the education program into local classrooms with as little student loan debt as possible, or supporting the economic viability of the college by attracting new students through scholarship support. There are many reasons to give.โ€

Donors to the Fall Fund Drive can choose where their donation is designated, allowing them to target their support where itโ€™s meaningful to them. Last yearโ€™s Fall Fund Drive raised about $75,000 in scholarship support at CSC and over $30,000 in support of the collegeโ€™s programs and initiatives.

Volunteer fundraisers from the community and CSC campus will work in teams and connect with potential donors during the Fall Fund Drive. This yearโ€™s team leaders are, from the local community, Amy Hawk of First National Bank of Omaha, Bobby Griese representing Chadron Community Hospital, Pete Johnson, of Homestead Bank, Jason Carnahan, of Security First Bank, Clayton Riesen from Nebraska Bank, Stacy Fry of Platte Valley National Bank, and Duane Gardener of Home Haven Furniture & Appliance.

Campus team leaders are Kaylee Summers, Christian Miller, Christine Fullerton, Deena Kennell, Stacie Mittleider, and Joby Collins. Serving as this yearโ€™s Fall Fund Drive co-chairs are Chantel Merchen and Kim Hernandez of Chadron State, Brenda Morford, of First National Bank of Omaha, and Bobby Griese.

The Fall Fund Drive is one of the Chadron State Foundationโ€™s premier annual fundraisers that benefit CSC students. It was established in the mid-80s and engages supporters time, talent, and treasure in support of Chadron State College, Western Nebraskaโ€™s only four-year college.

The Chadron State Foundation works to support Chadron State Collegeโ€™s mission and the aspirations of its students. Through relationships with alumni, community members, businesses, grant makers, and other private donors, the Foundation ensures that CSC remains a leader in higher education and that students have the financial means, and program support to ensure their future success.
