The Chadron City Council meets Tonight at 6:00 inside the Council Chambers at Chadron City Hall.
A fairly light agenda is on tap with the council introducing the new full time supervisor of the Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center, Sydney Hunter.
Staying with the aquatics center theme the council will act on a motion for the Chadron Sharks Swim Team to host a swim meet on February first and second of next year at a reduced rate for use of the Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center. The Sharks were to hold the first ever event at the center earlier this year but it was snowed out.
Jake Stewart Director of the Solid Water Agency of Northwest Nebraska will update the council on their proposal for the use of city property for the new baler facility.
Finally on the agenda will be the councils acceptance of councilman Miles Bannanโs resignation as a city council member. Bannan has accepted a job with the U.S. Postal Service and moved to Lincoln.
The council will discuss whether or not to fill the position before the election in November. Bannanโs seat was up and he had already announced he would not seek reelection.
