Chadron Golfers Qualify For State

The Chadron Cardinals girls golf team went down to Ogallala Monday for the C-5 District tournament. The Cardinals topped six full teams to win the district tournament and qualify for the state tournament as a team. The Cardinals also placed all four players involved in the team scoring in the top 10 of the tournament. 

Individually Taegan Bach shot a 92 to finish in a tie for 1st before losing in a playoff to district champion Katie Coomes from Gordon-Rushville. Emmerson Landreth shot a 97 to finish in a four way tie for fourth with teammate Elliana Uhing, Reese Ribera from Ogallala, and Zoey Oatts. Reese Ritterbush ended up in 9th, carding a 99. Also playing for the Cardinals and going to the state tournament was Gillian Conway who shot a 112. 

Team wise the Cardinals shot a 385, placing first by 28 shots. Joining the Cardinals in qualifying for state as a team is Ogallala with a 413, and Valentine by shooting a 422.

The Class C state tournament will be held Monday October 14th and 15th in North Platte.
