Juan Ramos-American Horse was born on January 2, 2002 in Grand Island, NE and Alexander Ramos-American was born on November 8, 2005 in Gordon, NE both to Martin Ramos and Josephine (American Horse) Ramos.  Juan and Alexander both made their journeyโ€™s to the Spirit World on October 13, 2024 in Grand Island, NE.  

Juan is survived by his son, Sailas Ramos-Romero and his mother Jasmine Romero; Juan and Alexander are survived by their parents, Martin Ramos and Josphine (American Horse) Ramos; brother, Enrique Ramos-American Horse; sisters, Jessica American Horse, Christina Ramos, Kimberly American Horse, and Andrea Ramos-American Horse; maternal grandfather, Eugene American Horse; uncles, Alfonso American Horse, Aaron American Horse, and Mike Lovejoy; aunts, Kayla American Horse and Nicole American Horse; Alexโ€™s Hunka Parents, Rick and Randi Gray Grass; and numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Juan and Alexander were preceded in death by their maternal grandmother, Barbara American Horse; paternal grandparents, Juan Ramos and Petronila Ramos; great grandparents, Noah and Agnes No Leaf and Eugene and Dorothy American Horse; aunt, Carla American Horse; grandfather, Jerry No Leaf; and many other relatives.  

Pallbearers for Juan will be Chris Alvarado, Irving Caldera, Carlos Cervantes, Daelaquan Garnette, Brian Molina, and Heiner Alfaro and pallbearers for Alexander will be Miguel Villanueva, Dominique Cross, Ki-jana Gray Grass, Darren Cross, Jayden Fancher, and Roberto Alfaro.   

Honorary pallbearers will be the American Horse Family, Richards Family, No Leaf Family, LaDeaux Family, Cervantes Families, Perez Family, Alvarado Family, Molina Family, Alvaro Family, Orellana Family, Alfaro Family, Dominguez Family, Sacred Hoop 500 Mile Runners, Thunder Lake Sundance Family, Mitakuye Foundation, Water Protectors, JBS Workers, Caseyโ€™s Workers, and All Friends & Relatives.

Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Gordon City Auditorium in Gordon, NE with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services: 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Gordon City Auditorium in Gordon, NE

Traditional Lakota Services: Ricky Gray Grass

Burial Services: Gordon City Cemetery, Gordon, NE
