Alcohol Compliance Checks Held in Dundy, Chase, and Hitchcock Counties

Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Dundy, Chase, and Hitchcock counties.

During the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday, October 27, 2024, investigators conducted alcohol compliance checks in Dundy, Chase, and Hitchcock counties. This project is funded 1005 by the Region II Human Services SUPTBG ($427,899.00, 6B08TIO85820-01M002) through SAMHSA, contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health.

In total, 7 businesses were checked. Two of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 71%. All businesses checked the minorโ€™s identification before sale.

The businesses that failed the compliance check was:
Liquor Store โ€“ Benkelman
Pizza Hut – Imperial

The businesses included convenience stores, restaurants, bars, and liquor stores.

Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
