Eight people successfully completed the October 4, 2024, examination and are now licensed by the Nebraska Board of Examiners for County Highway and City Street Superintendents.
Licensed County Highway and City Street Superintendents are Ms. Madison Brennfoerder of Arlington; Mr. David Cox of Lincoln; Mr. Justin Dunn of Walton; Mr. Kristian Fusilier of Chappell; Mr. Eric Gonzalez of Lincoln; Mr. Steve Leimer of Grant; Mr. Jay D. Osburn of Valentine; and Mr. Kevin Wolkins of Gordon.
Brennfoerder is a Transportation Engineer, with JEO Consulting Group in Omaha; Cox is a Labor Supervisor for the City of Lincoln Transportation & Utilities; Dunn is Transportation Maintenance Coordinator for the City of Lincoln Transportation & Utilities; Fusilier is a Road Worker for Deuel County Road Department; Gonzalez is a Senior Design Technician at JEO Consulting Group in Lincoln; Leimer is a County Road Maintainer for the Perkins County Road Department; Osburn is a District 1 Foreman for the Cherry County Road Department; and Wolkins is a Street Laborer, with City of Gordon Public Works Department.
The next examination will be held April 4, 2025, with an application deadline of December 31, 2024.

Mr. John A. Copland, P.E., of Ogallala, Nebraska; and Mr. Tim McCarthy, P.E., of Lincoln, Nebraska. Professional Engineers (P.E.) are licensed by equivalency. Copland is a Professional Engineer and remote pilot with Dickinson Land Surveyors, Inc, in Ogallala. McCarthy is a Senior Engineer with Kirkham Michael & Associates, of Lincoln.
Superintendents are qualified to assist in administering county, city and village road and street programs, including:
¨ preparing one- and six-year improvement plans or programs,
¨ preparing annual budgets,
¨ supervising the annual program for design, construction and maintenance of roads and streets, and
- coordinating plans with adjacent counties, cities, villages and with the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
