Jeffrey Arnold “Dale” Bad Wound was born on June 18, 1967 in Pine Ridge, SD to James Bad Wound II and LaVera Mesteth. Jeffery made his journey to the Spirit World on December 14, 2024 at the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Jeffrey is survived by his sisters, Julie Bad Wound and Crystal Marcelino; brother-in-laws, Adrian Good Buffalo, and Gabe Marcelino; nieces, LaVera, Adelise, and Josslyn; nephews, Clay Jesse, Cristan, Gavin and Zuya; special cousin, Sarah Means; cousin in-law, Roger Campbell, Jr.; and hunka daughter, Samantha Means-Ashley.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother LaVera Mesteth; father, James Bad Wound II, uncles, Verdell, Nelson, Wilmer, Louis, Sr., and Phillip(Wally); aunts, Janice, and Sandra Bush; cousins, Sherri Means, and Wilbert Means nephews, Michael, Caiden, and Kyler; grandmothers, Agnes, Josephine, Emma, Vera, and Martha; and grandfathers, James, Gary, Elgin, Sr., and Wesley.
