The first Chadron City Council meeting for 2025 is scheduled for Monday, January 6 at 6:00 PM in the council chambers. The meeting’s agenda is relatively light, however there are some new items of business.
Once the meeting is called to order and minutes are reviewed, the council is expected to motion for redesignation of Dustin Glass as Street Superintendent for the City of Chadron in the 2025 calendar year. This is a requirement mandated by the NE Department of Transportation.
Other notable items of business include Resolution No. 2025-1 and No. 2025-2. Resolution 2025-1 would approve progress estimate No. 1 to MacQueen Equipment for the high-speed loader mounted rotary plow for the Chadron Municipal Airport. Resolution No. 2025-2, however, would rescind Resolution 2018-14 and terminate the Memorandum of Understanding for the use of the facility named “The Annex” located at 519 Bordeaux St.
The public is welcome to attend the meeting in Chadron City Hall and can even provide public comments during the meeting.
If no public comments are necessary, an informational report from City Manager Tom Menke and closing comments from the council will precede the meeting’s adjournment.
