Sherrill Newton Henry was born June 7, 1961 in Pine Ridge, SD to Ross Henry and Nancy Poor Bear. Sherrill made his journey to the Spirit World on January 6, 2025 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Newton is survived by his sisters, Ruth Henry and Annie Henry; brothers, Harold Eagle Bulls, Calvin Standing Bear, Ken Henry, and Willard Henry, Sr.; special grandchildren, Kennedy Rose and Daemon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandchildren.
Newton was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Henry & Nancy Poor Bear; spouse, Henrietta Short Bull; niece, Janelle Rose Henry; sister, Eunice Henry; cousin, Bennet Hard Heart; grandparents, George Poor Bear & Susie Starbird, and Gerald Henry; brothers-in-law, Beto Rodriguez, Sr. and Fontanelle “Poncho” Afraid of Bear; and nephew, Beto Rodriguez, Jr..
