Both Morrill teams will be in the finals of the Panhandle Conference Basketball Tournament late Saturday afternoon in Crawford.
During Friday’s semifinals, the Morrill girls defeated Crawford 39-32 and the Morrill boys toppled Hemingford 44-36.
The Lady Lions will take on No. 1 seed Edgemont in the girls’ championship game at 4:30 today. Edgemont downed Hay Springs 40-30 in that semifinal clash.
The Morrill boys will meet Hay Springs in that title game at 6 o’clock. The Hawks downed Crawford 69-59 for the right to play for the championship.
Other scores from Friday saw Hemingford defeat the Hyannis girls 54-29 while the Hyannis boys knocked off Edgemont 64-35 and the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys overwhelmed Sioux County 58-18 in that consolation contest.
