With consideration to the colder temperatures and more favorable conditions this week, local agencies have approved the Nebraska Forest Service to conduct a planned burn Wednesday in the Cliffs Picnic Area, Robert’s Campground and Hudsen Meng Education Center outside of Chadron.
Smoke may be visible from Bordeaux Road and Bethel Church in Whitney and Toadstool, Sand Creek and Milo Road. Locals are to be reminded that local fire agencies are aware of these burns, and no action will be necessary if smoke is seen in these areas.
