Anthony Osborne

Anthony Dean Osborne, known to all as โ€œTonyโ€ passed away on February 13, 2025 after a long battle with heart disease and cancer.  Tony was born on May 25, 1957 at the Old Pine Ridge Hospital to Anne Cedarface and Harry Osborne.  

Tony was a master carpenter.  He mentored many young people to the trade.  Tony loved life, there was nothing he liked more than a good barbeque and a beer, his favorite football team was the Las Vegas Raiders.  He was a free spirit.  He loved Nascar Racing and motorcycles; hitting the open road was Tony!  Tony never married but he had a long time special friend Bonnie.  He never had children but he helped raised three boys named Cody, Merle, & Nick who all live in Rapid City, SD and they considered him their dad.  Tony will be laid to rest at the White Wolf Cemetery at Mission Flats near Pine Ridge, SD next to his favorite aunt Pearl Cedarface.  

Tony Will be dearly missed by all whom he touched with his life.  

Tony is survived by his sister, Nancy Osborne-Fox and her husband Tim; and Cheryl Osborne both of Las Vegas, NV, and Lee Osborne Schiefelbein and her husband Michael of Fort Lewis, WA; 6 nephews; 3 nieces; cousins, Susan Shangreaux-Hudspeth, Fred โ€œGigiโ€ Cedarface, Clara Cedarface, Charlene Featherman, & Rose Shoulders; and special auntie, Suzanne Swallow of Red Shirt Village.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Osborne and Anne Cedarface; maternal grandparents, William & Jessie Rose (White Wolf) Cedarface; great grandparents, John & Alice (Horn Cloud) White Wolf; paternal grandparents, Harry & Rose Osborne; two paternal aunts, Pearl Dixon & Christine Shoulders; paternal uncles, Sam & Paul Cedarface, Vincent, Eddie White Wolf, Luigie White Wolf, Bobby White Wolf, Charles White Wolf, Jr., and Joseph โ€œJoelaโ€ Cedarface.; and great grandparents, Charles, Sr. & Winnie Alice White Wolf.

Pallbearers will be Frank Crawford, Steve Wyatt, Carter Dixon, Joe Dixon, Sr., Romey Janis, Nathaniel Schiefelbein, Lyle Featherman, and Donovan Shoulders.  

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.

Visitation Services: Viewing services will be held from 11:00 AM โ€“ 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.

Officiating: To Be Announced

Traditional Lakota Services: Fred Cedarface

Graveside Services: 1:30 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the White Wolf Cemetery at Mission Flats near Pine Ridge, SD.
