Constance Rae Wooden Knife-Prue was born on May 29, 1970 in Kadoka, SD to Owen Young and Mary Lou Rider-Wooden Knife. Constance made her journey to the Spirit World on September 15, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Constance is survived by her spouse, Rick Prue of Rapid City, SD; children, Temara (Thomas Harvey) Jade Shaw of Hot Springs, SD, Jordan Luke Wooden Knife of Rapid City, SD, Luther Bender of Springfield, SD, Shannon Ghost of Rapid City, SD, Elliott Garrison of Gillette, WY, Jackie Heisler of Rapid City, SD, Esperanza Stanton of Oral, SD, Christian Livesay of Hot Springs, SD, and Elijah Mestes of Denver, CO; mother, Mary Lou (Ken) Rider-Wooden Knife of Hot Springs, SD; aunts, Oleta Medansky of White River, SD, and Bertha Morrison and Ruth Wooden Knife both of Norris, SD; uncles, Ansel Wooden Knife, Jr. of Interior, SD, John Wooden Knife of Corn Creek, SD, Errol Wooden Knife of Rapid City, SD, and Scott Wooden Knife of Texas; grandchildren, Noah “Beans” William Harvey, Miya Bender, and Mia Bender; niece, Bernie Richards of Rapid City, SD, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Constance was preceded in death by her father, Owen Young; grandparents, Mary (Witt) and Ansel Wooden Knife, Sr.; uncle, Harold Wooden Knife; and aunts, Shirley Winters, Floy Drake, Edna Wooden Knife, and Erna Wooden Knife.
Pallbearer will be Justin Mednansky.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
