Sioux County senior Skylar Edmund medaled in all four of her events to lead the Warriors to a fifth-place
finish in a 13-team field at the Morrill Early Bird track and field meet Saturday.
Edmund won the long jump and the 400-meter dash, finished sixth in the 200 and was part of Sioux
County’s first-place 4×400-meter relay team. She broke the line in the 400 at 1:04.86 and went 15’4.25”
in the long jump finals to win. Her sixth-place 200-meter run clocked 28.16.
Edmund was joined by Britney and Kailey Klein and Hannah Krein on the 4×400 relay team that took first
with a time of 4:30.80.
The Warriors picked up another event win with B. Klein’s first-place time of 2:37.67 in the 800-meter
run, a personal record for her. She also medaled in the mile, taking fifth in 6:35.02. Kailey Klein was sixth
in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.83 and fifth in high jump, clearing 4’6”. Krein finished in a
three-way tie for seventh in high jump. Hannah Rudloff also scored a medal in field events for Sioux
County, taking seventh in discus with a personal best throw of 89’.
