The Bayard golf course was a busy place on Tuesday as it hosted both the Western Trails Conference and Panhandle Athletic Conference meets.
Cael Peters of Mitchell shot a round of 76 to win the Western Trails individual title by four strokes over runner-up Jace Nelson of Gordon-Rushville. Gordon-Rushville’s Tegan Snyder was five strokes behind Nelson in 4th place.
Mitchell cruised past Bridgeport in the team standings 356-376.
Crawford won the Panhandle Conference championship by 23 strokes over Hemingford, 378-401.
Crawford’s Lawson Nolan and Hemingford’s Dax Powell were tied atop the individual leaderboard with 87’s, with a tiebreaker yet to be determined.
Hay Springs’ Gabe Varvel’s round of 89 dropped him into 3rd place and Rhett Flack of Crawford took 4th with a 93.
All five of the Rams golfers placed inside the top 10 with Roman Metz 7th, Payton Swanson in 8th, and Mitch Knode in 10th.
