Funeral services for 51-year old Sharon Pebeahsy are Sat, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 at the T&T Center in Wanblee, SD, with Chris Grillo and Lay Ministers Johnny Wilson and Rita Brown officiating and traditional Lakota services by All Wanbli Hope Ikce Wicasa.
Burial is at Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee.
A two-night wake service starts Thurs, June 9, at 1:00 at the T&T Center in Wanblee.
Sharon Mae Red Elk-Pebeahsy was born on September 22, 1970, in Pine Ridge, SD, to Roger Red Elk Sr and Annie High Horse. Sharon made her journey to the Spirit World on May 24, 2022, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID.
Sharon is survived by her children, Anthony (Val) Red Elk, Angelo Red Elk, Adrianna (Braden) Red Elk; and Alex Red Elk; mother, Annie High Horse; grandchildren, Landon, Anthony, Brody, Sunshine, Sarene, and Jameson Red Elk; siblings, Neil (Marilyn), Eric (Cecelia), and Roger Jr Conway, Beverly and Melinda; hunka sister, Tasha Twiss; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by spouse, Frank Pebeahsy; her father, Roger Red Elk Sr; brother, Waylon Red Elk Sr; aunties, Lydia White Feather, Marlene Tools and Rosalie Little Thunder; grandparents, Stephen Red Elk, Vivian White Hat-Chips, Alfred High Horse, and Agnes Between Lodges; and cousins, Harlan Red Elk and Doug White Feather.
Pallbearers will be Marlin White Feather, Neil Red Elk, Howard Red Elk, Virgil Quick Bear, Willie Quick Bear, Eric Red Elk, Alex Red Elk, and Edwin High Horse.
