CLASSIFIEDS REQUIREMENTS
EMAIL ADDRESS
You must have a valid email address to post ads. We use your email address to communicate with you when your ad is submitted, is approved or expires. It also provides a measure of security for us and you, preventing spammers from posting false ads.
RESTRICTIONS
Firearms or Ammunition are NOT allowed on Swap Shop. However, Firearm accessories or other hunted related items ARE allowed (bows, crossbows, scopes, hunting gear etc.). Other restrictions include alcohol, gambling related items, dating ads or sexually explicit material.
FREE vs PAID
Some listing categories require a fee. Paid categories include Vehicles, Real Estate, Produce and Meat, Agricultural Items, Auctions and Job Listings. Most other items are free.
ACCOUNT SETTINGS
You are not required to have an account with us to post ads in our classifieds system. However, you will need an account if you wish to edit or delete your ad. If you frequently post ads having an account will allow you to manage them all in one place. Accounts created in the old Swap Shop system have been removed and will need to be recreated. You will have the opportunity to create an account on the next screen.
CATEGORY SELECTION
Be sure to select the proper category for the item you are selling. All listings require approval before they become active. You will receive an email confirmation when your ad is approved, or if it is rejected.
GIVEAWAY, ISO, LOST AND FOUND
There are new categories for Giveaway items, Wanted ads and Lost and Found. There is no charge for posting in these categories.
PERSONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Use this category for birthday or anniversary wishes, card showers and party announcements. There is no charge to post in this category.
NON PROFIT
Use this category for posting benefit fundraisers, school fundraising activities or any other non profit events. There is no charge to post in this category.
