Alyson Edna Caldwell was born on October 19, 1987 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Caldwell and Theresa Waters. Alyson made her journey to the Spirit World on November 2, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Alyson is survived by her husband Jewel Sitting Holy; father, John Caldwell; children, Marquise Caldwell, Payen Lakota, Wyatt Lakota, Laura Caldwell, and Jamie and Juliet Sitting Holy; and siblings, Desirae Caldwell, Kari Caldwell, Brandon Caldwell, and Jon Caldwell.
Alyson was preceded in death by her mother Theresa Waters; son Gilbert Lakota III; grandparents Edna Apple-Blue Bird, Harrison “Tuffy” Caldwell, Jeanette Caldwell, and Bryan Blue Bird Sr; uncles Darrell Spotted Elk, Antoine Schultz-Blue Bird, and Bryan Blue Bird Jr; and godfather Terry “T-Bone” Red Feather.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Richards, Francis Spotted Elk, JD Spotted Elk, Ted “TC” Coomes, Joe Charging, Brian Two Two, Richard Blue Bird, and Harrison Caldwell.
