Nebraska Extension, Terrell Farms, and SARE invite you to a field day to discuss the effects of grazing management on fall grazed cover crops on Monday, November 28th, 1:30pm at Terrell Farms on Mirage Flats south of Hay Springs.
This project evaluated the effects of a continuous grazing system and a strip-grazing system on grazing efficiency and animal performance of cow/calf pairs and heifer calves fall-grazing a second crop of irrigated oats and turnups. The field day includes a site tour of fall grazed cover crops, input and experience from Brock and Heidi Terrell, and a summary of project findings.
Terrell Farms is located at 4397 440th Road, Hay Springs, NE or 13 miles south of Hay Springs on NE-87 and 2 miles east of Kelly Bean on 440th Rd.
There is no cost to attend, but registration is required for materials. Register by calling the Sheridan County Extension Office at 308-327-2312.
