Chadron State College forward Josh Robinson collected weekly honors from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Monday, in a release at RMACSports.org. He was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week after CSC’s back-to-back wins on opening weekend of conference play for the first time since 2018. It is also the first player of the week honor received by a CSC player since the same season.

Robinson’s weekend included his first two double-doubles of the season, as CSC downed CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands, both in double-digit fashion. He helped run CSC’s win streak to five with 20 points, 10 rebounds on Friday night, and 10 points, 11 boards on Saturday. He shot a gaudy 65 percent from the floor and hit both his free throw attempts, while defending the baseline for the majority of the game.

The 6-6 frontcourt player from Paris, Texas, came to CSC this year from Grayson College in Texas, where he averaged nearly a double-double for an entire season in 2021-22. In 2020-21, he was the NJCAA Region II’s leading scorer for Redlands Community College in Oklahoma.
