Funeral services for 32-year old Preston Yankton, originally set for Sunday, Dec 18, have been moved to Thurs, Dec 22, 2022 at 10:00 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Dave Swallow
Burial is at St Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Manderson.

Preston Myrtis Yankton was born on February 4, 1990 in Pine Ridge, SD to Winston Sitting Bear and Jennifer Yankton. Preston made his journey to the Spirit World on December 2, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Preston is survived by his mother Jennifer Yankton; children Sadie, Blake, Kiara, Rayna and Navaeh; siblings Markita Piper, Ryan Boerschig, Frankie Boerschig, Kelsey Antelope, Inez Antelope, John, Paul, Wicahpi, Heska, Bridget and Dominic; grandfather Lavern Yankton; aunts Diane Antelope and Sally Apple; and uncles Joey Yankton and Bernard Yankton.
Preston was preceded in death by his father Winston Sitting Bear; brother Derek Boerschig; grandparents Margaret, Gertie, Mary, and George Chase Alone, Albert Yankton, Sr. and Lloyd Yankton; and uncles Tommy and Reno Sitting Bear.
Pallbearers will be Rosebud White Plume, Randy Boerschig, Josh Adamson, Cowboy White Hawk, Sherman DeSersa, Michael Ghost, Paul Mesteth, Lyle Featherman and Dwayne Chase Alone.
