Chadron School Supt Ginger Meyer Gets Positive School Board Evaluation

Loading

Although the formal adoption won’t be until next month, the Chadron School Board’s annual evaluation of Superintendent Ginger Meyer shows unanimous support for her as she finishes her third year.

The evaluation form rates Meyer on a 0-4 scale in 7 areas – shared and strategic vision, policy and facility management, collaborations, continuous improvement leadership, teaching and learning, personnel leadership, and district culture.

The ratings by each board member in each area were reported verbally and all were either 3s or 4s plus a single not officially allowed 3.5. Board President Tom Menke says the results are very positive.

Meyer was praised multiple times for the way she keeps board members up-to-date on all aspects of district operations and for the effective way she communicates with parents and other patrons.

Other comments praised Meyer for staying on top of district finances, the way she always puts kids first, and her allowing the principals and other administrators to do their jobs without micromanaging.

Last night’s meeting was the first in 2023 for the Chadron School Board, so it included electing new officers. Menke was again unanimously reelected board president with Boone Huffman the unanimous choice for vice president..
