The Chadron boys and girls basketball teams went on the road Saturday and each picked up a win against Valentine.
A Jaleigh McCartney 3-pointer helped the Chadron girls erase a 5-point 4th quarter deficit and a Laney Klemke free throw capped off a game-ending 7-0 run that gave the Cards a 30-28 win over the Badgers.
The win snapped a 5-game losing streak.
Klemke finished with a team high 7 points.
The Chadron boys almost blew a 12-point halftime lead but hung on to beat Valentine 54-51. The home squad closed the game to 5 after three quarters, but never got closer than the final 3 point margin.
Xander Provance carried the Cardinals with 16 points.
