CSC Wrestlers Lose At Home To Colorado Mesa

    The Chadron State College men’s wrestling team fell at home yesterday to 12th-ranked Colorado Mesa 28-16 in a match postponed last month by the weather. 

The victory gives Mesa the outright Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title.

      The Eagles won just 4 matches. 2nd-ranked 133-lb Quen Smith beat #9 Collin Metzgar 4-3, Ethan Leake delivered a pin at 141, Rowdy Pfeil posted a major decision at 174, and heavyweight Mason Watt won 2-1.

Chadron State is 7-7 overall in duals, but just 2-4 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference duals. They’re at the Rocky Mountain Open in Golden, Colo, today – their last action before hosting the NCAA Super Region 6 Championships on Feb 25.
