This week’s snowstorm isn’t stopping tomorrow’s Chadron Chamber of Commerce Community Easter Egg Hunt, but it is forcing a major change.
Chamber Executive Director Gabby Michna says the ballfields that usually host the Egg Hunt are likely to still be too wet and soggy for comfort, so the Hunt is moving about a block to the east indoors at the Dawes County Fairgrounds Event Center.
Michna always emphasizes that the Easter Egg Hunt begins precisely at 11:00. That’s true again this year, but she recommends coming a little earlier because of parking and getting to the right part of the Event Center.
Michna says the oldest division of participants, the 7-to-10 year olds, will be in the West half of the building with the 4-to-6 year olds in the East half. Kids 3-and-under will be in the northeast corner.
Michna says the key post-Hunt portion of the morning, the Hot Dog BBQ sponsored by Skeeter’s NAPA Auto Parts will take place just outside the Event Center.
Michna also offers a shout out to the sponsors of the Chadron Community Easter Egg Hunt – Chadron Community Hospital, Landen Chiropractic, and Skeeter’s NAPA Auto Parts – as well as to all the other supporters and volunteers who make it possible.
