Chilly Weather Doesn’t Hamper Chadron Twilight Meet

On a chilly and windy Friday afternoon Chadron hosted their twilight track meet at Cardinal Field. The Chadron boys and girls each tallied 5 gold medals, the Gordon-Rushville boys took home 5 and the Lady Mustangs followed with 4.

Chadron’s Rhett Cullers hauled in three first place finishes in the 110m and 300m hurdles and the 4x100m relay. Xander Provance won the long jump and was a member of the 4×1. Malachi Swallow and Quinn Bailey went 1st and 2nd in the 100m and were the other two legs of the 4x100m relay team.

Gordon-Rushville’s Franklin Johns captured gold in both the 400 and 800m.

Hay Springs’ Cutter Scott won the triple jump, Crawford’s Ty Brady won the 1600m and Gordon-Rushville won both the 4x400m and 4x800m relays.

The Chadron girls swept all three relays. Demi Ferguson won the 400m, Brooklyn Hoffman captured the 110m hurdles and Grace Pyle took the high jump.

Lainey Fillmore of Gordon-Rushville crossed first in the 100m, Haley Johnson won the 800m, Tyrah American Horse took the 1600m and McKinley Grover won the shot put.

Crawaford’s Kylah Vogel won the 300m hurdles.
