Recent rains and the threat of more to come has Dawes County Highway Superintendent Wade Yada cautioning drivers on unpaved county roads to be ready for the possibility of flooded or washed out sections.
     Yada said Thursday afternoon that Mansfield Road was currently closed between Raben Road and Old Hwy 20 due to flooding.
      Yada warned against driving through flooded areas of roads because it’s impossible for a driver to know if there’s surface or subsurface damage, and he added that unmarked flooding and washouts can occur.Â
