Despite ongoing downtown highway reconstruction, Hot Springs is celebrating its 4th of July Parade pretty much as normal.
Participants will stage on 23rd Street north of Family Dollar with the Parade itself going down University Avenue to 5th Street, then down 5th to the end point at Jensen Highway near the Fall River County South Annex – a change from the Mueller Center.
The two outside lanes of University Avenue on College Hill will be reserved for public parking for parade watchers with the parade itself going down the center of the 4-lane road.
The City of Hot Springs is asking for everyone’s cooperation to park in the appropriate travel direction and not block any intersections, which need to remain open in case of an emergency. Parking on the viaduct is discouraged.
