Memorial services for 76-year old Joyce Wallace are Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 10:00 at Chamberlain Chapel in Crawford
Interment is at the Crawford Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the Frontier Restaurant in Crawford.
Memorials may be sent to the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department.

Joyce A Wallace was born January 25, 1947, in Merna, NE, to Charles F Riggs and Marcia L Haught Rigg. She died unexpectedly from cancer July 9, 2023, at Chadron Community Hospital.
Joyce graduated from Alliance High School in 1964. After graduation, she moved to North Platte and started beauty school. She met and married Gordon L. Zeigler in 1965. They later divorced.
After her divorce she moved back to Alliance where she made a living as a bartender. In 1981, she decided she needed a change and enrolled in the LPN program at Box Butte General Hospital – graduating in 1982.
Joyce started her nursing career at St Joseph Gerontology Center in Alliance. She moved to Crawford in 1987 and continued her LPN career at Ponderosa Villa and Crestview Care Center in Chadron.
She married Jerald C Wallace in 1990. A few years later she retired and spent her time with grandchildren and enjoying the many crafts she loved to do. Her favorite was painting.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jerald.
She is survived by her sister Jo Ann Nesiba of North Platte, NE; brothers Robert Riggs of Omaha and Charles Riggs of Tallahassee, FL; Sons Gregory (Bonnie Wynn) Zeigler of Crawford, Ryan Zeigler of Livingston, TX; daughter Gina (Michael) McCracken of Alliance; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
