D2Football.com announced their 2023 Elite 100 Watch List yesterday and a familiar name is a defensive lineman for the first team.
Hunter O’Connor, a junior from Broomfield, Colorado, earned first team honors after being named to the organizations Elite 100 list at the end of last season.
O’Connor finished 2022 as an All-American with 60 total tackles, 24 TFL and 16 sacks. His 16 sacks ranked him as the national statistical runner-up in NCAA Division II for the regular season and that figure broke the CSC single-season sack record held by Casey Beran and Scott Dolfi.
Earlier this summer, he was named to the 2023 Lindy’s Preseason All-America Football First Team.
Joining O’Connor on the Elite 100 First Team from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference are three offensive players from conference favorite Colorado Mines and one defensive player from CSU-Pueblo.
