Nebraska State Fair Attendance Up This Year

Loading

Attendance at this year’s Nebraska State Fair was up 8.5% from last year with 311,909 guests during the fair’s 11-day run in Grand Island that ended on Labor Day.

Executive Director Jaime Parr says it’s the first time since COVID that attendance has topped 300,000. Parr’s also pleased with good growth in the number of livestock entries – 7,333.

This year’s State Fair theme was “Whatever Your Flavor,” and Parr says it seemed to cover not only food and entertainment options, but also the weather.

She says there was “a little bit of everything,” with high temperatures some days with rain and lightning on others.

Planning is already well underway for next year’s State Fair, which runs August 23 to Sept 2 with the theme “All Roads Lead to Fun.”
