The Chadron High volleyball team took 8th over the weekend at the Twin City Invite in Scottsbluff and Gering.
In pool play on Friday, Chadron took down McCook 25-19, 25-12 and slipped by Sidney 18-25, 25-15, 25-22. Their lone loss came to Crete 25-14, 25-16.
With their 2-1 record in pool play, the Cardinals earned their way into the championship bracket where they opened with Crete and lost 25-17, 28-26.
In the consolation semifinal Chadron was defeated by Alliance 25-15, 25-22 and then lost to North Platte in the 7th place game 25-23, 25-21.
In their lone game this week, Chadron will go to Rapid City Christian on Tuesday.
