Jessica Lou Twiss was born on September 27, 1980 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jonathan Twiss Sr and Judith Herman. Jessica made her journey to the Spirit World on October 3, 2023 at the Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell, SD.
Jessica is survived by children Jake Running Bear, Travis Running Bear Jr, Franklin Running Bear, Heaven Garnette, Nativity Hoof, Hailey Hoof, and Treyson Twiss; brother Jonathan Twiss Jr; grandchildren Eniyah Running Bear, Travis Running Bear III, Sage Bettelyoun Jr, Kaylee Steele, Mya Ribitsch, Jarriah Ribitsch, Clara Ribitsch, Josyah Dillon, Kylo Schreiner, Lucien Janis-Whalen, Chloe Brewer, and Nakia Bagola; uncles Louis Jealous of Him Sr Waldren Jealous of Him Sr, Rick Buckman, Larry Buckman, and Melvin Twiss; aunts Diana Jealous of Him-Martinez, Wanda Center, Deb Cuny, Tonya “Toni” Twiss, and Deann Twiss; nieces & nephews Lacy Ribitsch, Louis Whalen, Lori Whalen, Cristin Twiss, Colton Bagola, Emily Abold, Stevie Swallow, Sylas Twiss, and Jonathan Twiss III.
Jessica was preceded in death by her parents Jonathan Twiss Sr and Judith Herman; sisters Joni Twiss and Mandy Twiss; paternal grandparents William “Billy” Twiss and Bessie Rock; maternal grandparents Rex Herman and Verna Buckman; and niece Shelby Swallow.
