First Chadron State Foundation Fall Fund Drive “Pledge Party” On Friday Open To All

This is the second week of the Chadron State Foundation’s annual Fall Fund Drive, and there’s a new event coming up Friday to help the community learn a little more about the foundation, the college, and the fund drive.

Foundation Development Officer and Fall Drive coordinator Brandon Davenport says the new Pledge Party runs from 11:00-to-1:00 in the CSC Student Center showcasing the talent and skills of Chadron State students.

Davenport says the Pledge Party is open to the community and no one has to donate to attend, although there will be Foundation staff on hand to take donations from those who are inspired to give by what they see and hear from the students.

There’s no food for the casual event, but Davenport encourages everyone to bring a lunch or order from the cafeteria or CSC grill. Tables and chairs will be set up to enjoy lunch in good company.

The active phase of the drive wraps up a week from Friday on the 20th and the more than 80 volunteers remain busy contacting past and potential donors assigned to them.

Davenport says anyone who would like to give to the foundation and can’t make it to Friday’s Pledge Party simply needs to contact the Chadron State Foundation office and someone will contact them.

This year’s community co-chairs are Cody Benton of Homestead Bank amd Cali Frankovic from Chadron Community Hospital  On the campus side are Assistant Director of Human Resources Kim Hernandez and Office of Student Success director Chantel Merchan
