Miss Chadron And Miss Chadron’s Teen Pageant Winners Crowned

      Two young women from North Platte and one each from Fairbury and Gretna claimed the titles Saturday at the Miss Chadron and Miss Chadron’s Teen Pageant – a preliminary in the Miss America system.

       Crowned as Miss Chadron was Lexi Nolda of North Platte, daughter of Gianna and Luis Nolda with Adeline Linscott of Fairbury, daughter of Deb and Tim Linscott, selected as Miss Northwest.

      Claiming the title of Miss Chadron’s Teen was Addi Carter of North Platte, daughter of Monica and Eric Carter, while the new Miss Northwest’s Teen is Addison Dauel of Gretna, daughter of Brenda and Aaron Dauel

     All four now advance to the Miss Nebraska and Miss Nebraska’s Teen competitions coming up next June in North Platte.

     Nolda, who was also Saturday’s Community Service winner for the Miss pageant, also competed for the Miss Nebraska title last year as Miss Platte River. A Sophomore at UNL, her Community Service Initiative is Be Sun Smart: Healthy Skin Is In 

      Linscott, crowned last year as the National Princess of America Junior Miss, has a Community Service Initiative of Autism: Beyond Awareness.

     Addison Dauel was the Teen Community Service winner and is making her second trip to Miss Nebraska’s Teen, having been Miss Gretna Teen a year ago. Her Community Service Initiative is Ability is Stronger than Disability.

       Saturday night’s Audience Choice winners were Anna Meier of Gering, daughter of Julie and Justen Focken and the late Richie Meier, at the Miss level and Hannah Henton of Kimball, daughter of Kris and Tom O’Brien and Jason Henton, for the Teen contestants.

    The next local preliminary for the Miss America system is Miss Alliance in Alliance on Saturday, Nov 11th at 6 pm. Contestant packets are now available by contacting pageant director Riki Hunter at 308 430 4355

  1. This is a local news station. Local news. Israel is getting plenty of coverage in the regional and national news. We still need to know what is going on in our community, even if it is a silly pageant. It’s not stupid to report local events on a local news outlet. Chill out.

  2. Not really. This pageant has always been open to all eligible residents in the Chadron/ Northwest area. Chadron alone does not have the interest in participation to hold the event alone. It has always been the Miss Chadron/ Miss Northwest pageant, as a feeder to the Miss Nebraska pageant. You have to be a regional winner to qualify for Miss NE. I’m not even sure there was a Chadron resident entered this year, but this is the first year back from a bit of a hiatus, so perhaps we will have an entry next year.
