Nadine Louise Walczyk was born August 11, 1931, in Aladdin, Wy to parents Raymond Persival and Louise Mignon Pattinson. She passed away Tues, Oct 10, 2023, in her home in Chadron.
Nadine spent her early years in Aladdin, Wy, but her parents served as colporters for the International Bible Students Association so the family moved from place to place in their preaching and teaching work
Nadine was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of 9. She and her brother Fred shared in the preaching work with their parents, and the family faced mob violence, persecution and jail for their neutral stance during WWII.
The family later settled in Rapid City, SD, where Nadine met Paul Francis Walczyk. They were married on June 8th, 1957, and moved to Belle Fourche, SD, where they began raising their 5 children. The family moved to Chadron in 1970 and built a new house and home.
Along with her ministry, Nadine loved her family and friends. She also loved to play cards with friends, puzzles and word search games, and especially travel, if it meant seeing her grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ray and Fred, and her husband Paul.
She is survived by her 5 children Norma Lee Berglund, Terri Rae Burch, Timmy Paul Walczyk, Elaine Anne Waldron, Ray Francis Walczyk, 13 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
