Fanette Rose Elk was born on October 5, 1963 in Pine Ridge, SD to Gertrude Thunder Horse. Fanette made her journey to the Spirit World on October 20, 2023 in Huron, SD
Fanette is survived by her sisters Noretta High Hawk and Carol Black Elk; nieces & nephews Daverine Elk, Lloyd Elk, Emmaline Elk, Lavetta Elk, Emerald Elk, Jeff Elk, Tad High Hawk, Dakota High Hawk, Kimberly Weston, Jamie Weston, Trevor Weston, Briana Weston, Victoria Weston, Jarrett Jealous of Him, Stephanie Jealous of Him, Delane Iron Boy, Franklin Jealous of Him, Mark Buckman, Justin Elk, Ohitika Elk, Gluonihanpi Elk; and numerous grandchildren and cousins.
Fanette was preceded in death by her mother Gertrude Thunder Horse; brothers Nathan Elk, Emerson Elk, and Jerry Elk; sister Gladys Kathy Elk; aunts & uncles Timothy Thunder Horse, Robert Thunder Horse, Paul Thunder Horse, Roselyn Little Bear, Irene Black Elk, Barbara Two Bulls, Alex Bad Bear Sr, and the Red Ear Horse family.
Pallbearers will be Tad High Hawk, Trevor Weston, Jarrett Jealous of Him, Lloyd Elk, William T. Thunder Horse, Wayne Yellow Shield Sr, Joseph Black Elk, Michael Thunder Horse, Dakota High Hawk, and Ohitika Elk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Center of Independence/Lincoln House Staff of Huron, SD, and all friends & relatives.
